In four months, 17 rhinos have been brutally murdered by poachers in Assam
for its overpriced horns on black market. Latest is the case near Pohumari area
under Agaratoli forest range and just after a day when a trail run of an aerial
vehicle was conducted over the Kaziranga National Park. Rhino poaching has
become a real headache for the state government with the official death toll,
126 during the past 10 years.
