A walk of long distance to the nearest water source was an everyday ordeal
for the locals of remote 108 households at Chunja VDC. But after the construction
of cemented rainwater reservoirs at every house of the VDC, the problem is a
thing of the past. The system implemented under initiatives led by Nepal Red
Cross Society (NRCS), Pyuthan division with an expense of around Rs 10 million,
was set up under Nepal Red Cross Society Community Eye and Health Treatment
Program.
