MIGRATORY BIRDS LURING POACHERS- INDIA



In winters, Maharana Pratap Sagar popularly known as Pong Dam Lake in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh becomes the bird watcher's delight, as thousands of migratory birds from Siberia and Central Asian countries flock to the dam site. With the arrival of these winged guests, poachers also become active in the area. So, a team of 32 village forest development committees has been formed to keep an eye on activities of the poachers.
