COLLECTING MICROLIFE AT MACOUN MARSH- CANADA

Stylonychia is a genus of ciliate that is very common in fresh water and soil.  It is often found on filamentous algae and surface films.

A beautiful glass Navicula diatom

The strange Difflugia that builds a shell of mineral particles to protect itself.
