RETURN OF SARUS CRANE AND BLACK BEAR - PAKISTAN
After more than a decade, Sarus crane is back in Pakistan. Although Sarus cranes are still found in large numbers in India, not a single bird had been sighted in Pakistan. Similarly, endangered Black Bear was spotted in Chitral region along the Afghan border. Earlier, the species was declared extinct on this side of the Hindukush belt.
