ELEPHANT CALF KILLED, HERD ON A RAMPAGE- NEPAL
An elephant calf was hacked to death by the villagers
in Bahundangi of Jhapa District, east Nepal. The calf had entered the area in
search of food from the bordering Indian forest. Following the killing of a
calf, a herd of 150 enraged elephants wrecked havoc in the village.
