Chure Conservation Program (PCCP) was implemented in Nepal some
years back to control the overexploitation of resources in the Chure area. But Federation
of Community Forest Users is criticizing the program alleging that local people
are not being able to use those forest resources. According to the federation,
declaration of the Chure environment conservation region is only a way for
depriving people of their rights over the forest.
