The Tibetan elderly receive concentrated
care and consequent improvements in the quality of life, health and social
security. Around 49 elderly care centers and seven child welfare agencies have
been built in various places. While a total of USD 4.921 million has been
invested in the care center occupying 2.2 ha with 236 beds.
