Locals of Changzamtog, Chang Gedaphu and
Kachoe lam, Thimpu, western central Bhutan, have been suffering from acute
shortage of water. Although 200 water pipes were installed in these areas,
cutting pipes and stealing water, as a result of increasing population is
common. Pipes are also damaged by ongoing road construction projects and
landslides.
