The camera trapping installed in 2010
had recorded 12 tigers in Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park (JSWNP), central
Bhutan. The density of tigers was much higher than a previous estimation of two
tigers per 100 square kilometers area. It has also captured seven other
species, such as the threatened asiatic golden cat (Pardofelis temmincki/
Catopuma temmincki), leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalenisis), jungle cat (Felis
chaus), marbled cat (Pardofelis marmorata), common leopard (Panthera pardus)
and clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa).
