Carcasses of eight Greylag geese were found from the Kodomoni Pathar area in Neematighat, the outskirts of Jorhat town in Assam. With these, the death toll of migratory birds in the same area has mounted to 49 in the last two weeks. According to forest officials, these mass die-offs are due to poisoning.  Meanwhile, poachers in Kaziranga National Park are back again.
