The state trout farm in Kullu of Himachal Pradesh
exported around 30,000 trout fish seedlings to Bhutan and 200,000 rainbow trout
fish seedlings to Sikkim. About 370 trout units have been set by 160 fishermen
in the state. To promote aquaculture in the state, the state government has
provided more than IRS 130 million and
also imported new technology to attract fishermen.
