Phajoding monks have confirmed increase in bird poaching as birds like Blood Pheasants and Monal Pheasants are sold for feathers for making arrows. Recently, monks found a dead Monal Pheasant that was snared by poachers though it is illegal according to the 1995 Forest and Conservation Act.
