Nominations for positions of the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC)

Nominations for positions of the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) are now welcome from registered and recognized National Youth Councils and other youth bodies across Commonwealth countries for the following Executive positions :

a) Chairperson (Africa and Europe Region Only);
b) Vice Chairperson for Partnerships and Resources (Any Region);
c) Vice Chairperson for Inclusion and Engagement (Any Region);
d) Vice Chairperson for Policy, Advocacy and Projects (Any Region);
e) Regional Representative - Africa and Europe;
f) Regional Representative - Asia;
g) Regional Representative - Caribbean and Canada;
h) Regional Representative - Pacific;
i) Representative - Special Interest Groups (Any Region)

The first General Assembly of the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) which will be held in Sri Lanka from 10th to 14th of November 2013 during the 9th Commonwealth Youth Forum. Official youth delegates from each country will agree on the constitution, nominate and vote for the inaugural CYC Executive, who will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the CYC. Kindly note that even if member countries are unable to send delegates to the General Assembly in person, the official youth delegates’ names and designations should still be sent to the Government of Sri Lanka as there will be an online platform to facilitate voting in the elections.
