CONSERVATION EFFORTS PAYS OFF- NEPAL



Population of Sarus (Grus antigone) in Lumbini district have gone up attributed to relentless conservation and management practices. Meanwhile, nine species of endangered Vulture have been documented from Baitadi district. However, these natural scavengers have been declining by 90% due to widespread use of Diclophenac since last two decades.
