TIMBER DUMP- NEPAL

Gajurmukhi Area Forest Office of Ilam District, in eastern Nepal has dumped timber worth seven million rupees due to the failure to auction them off. Those timbers were seized from smugglers arrested at different times this year. Meanwhile, the office has filed 36 cases against 148 people on the charge of timber smuggling and illegal felling of trees in forests of southern range of the district.
