CONTROLLING RED JUNGLE FOWL POPULATION- INDIA



To avoid unhealthy stock, the wildlife wing in Himachal Pradesh, northern India is destroying eggs of red jungle fowl which were kept in captivity. According to the officials, this is the well adopted technique for controlling the bird population all over the world as the eggs at that stage do not contain a developed embryo. Himachal Pradesh is known as a storehouse of biodiversity and is hope to about 36 per cent Indian bird species.
