The
Lancang River in Nangchen county of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture has
recently been listed as a national water park. The river is also known as the
first gorge of three major rivers in Southern China that consist of mountains and canyons,
pleasing landscapes, mild climate and abundance of cultural relics. According
to the authorities, 12 water parks have already been listed at the national
level from the Qinghai province alone.
