NEW SETTLEMENTS LIMIT WILDLIFE MOVEMENTS- BHUTAN

According to a recently conducted study along the wildlife corridor connecting Royal Manas national park to the Phibsoo wildlife sanctuary and Khaling wildlife sanctuary, the expansion of human settlements at Tanzema and Nganglam could lead to the shrinking of corridor area and escalation of human-wildlife conflict.  Also the approved road construction from Chungshing to Gong under Dobangewog, Sarpang passing through tiger habitat could obstruct tiger movement says the study.
