Use of pesticides to preserve agricultural products is popular amongst Nepalese farmers although they posses negative impacts on health and environment. Numbers of people lose their life due to pesticides while it also affects the natural ecosystem. Recently use of such chemicals in Dhading district, central Nepal has turned out to be a curse as six members of a family were killed and 20 others hospitalized by consumption of food made from wheat seeds preserved with pesticides.
