Macoun Marsh Update- Ottawa, Ontario

A few images from this weekend.

Male red-wings arrive at the marsh early to set up territories.  Females will arrive in a few weeks.

The Eastern cottontail loves to hide under our outdoor classroom.  He will even eat the bird seed!

A House finch eating winter berries.

Red squirrels are usually very loud!  They do not hibernate in the winter.
