MINUTES OF SATURDAY'S BIODIVERSITY YOUTH MEETING

Chair- Sarina (University of Ottawa)
Attendees were mostly from Ottawa, Canada with 3 youth skyping from New Brunswick, Waterloo- Ontario, and Panama. 

AGENDA
DISCUSSIONS:
1- THIRD INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SYMPOSIUM in Auroville, India:
Many new developments here- this could be a pre-event to the COP11 Youth events. 
When? Late September- Early October, 2012
Who? 150 Youth- divided into 2 groups
How? Youth would submit proposals from their home country/ panel of judges will review proposals in accordance to specific guidelines. 
Organizers will create a "survival guide" and supply list for students coming from outside India
2. DEVELOPING THE BIODIVERSITY BLOG
Youth will take on the responsibility to contact some of our partners to place their updates on our blog.  We will focus on their international work first- then national, then local.
