The 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal
has not only taken lives of thousands of people but it has also changed the
landscape. The world highest peak Mount Everest in Solukhumbu district, eastern
Nepal has now lowered by 2.8 centimeters as recorded by the Europe's
Sentinel-1A radar satellite. Similarly, about 120 km long and 50 km wide area
about 17 km from Kathmandu has lifted about 1 meter damaging the city.
