CHANGED LANDSCAPE- NEPAL



The 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal has not only taken lives of thousands of people but it has also changed the landscape. The world highest peak Mount Everest in Solukhumbu district, eastern Nepal has now lowered by 2.8 centimeters as recorded by the Europe's Sentinel-1A radar satellite. Similarly, about 120 km long and 50 km wide area about 17 km from Kathmandu has lifted about 1 meter damaging the city.
