In the last decade, a number of wetlands in Ilam district
of eastern Nepal have dried up due to increasing population and climate change.
Being dispute among local stakeholders, many of these wetlands are turn in to a
playground such as Hangethampokhari, Lam-pokhari and Maimajhuwa.
