VEHICLES PROHIBITED IN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY- INDIA

To reduce noise pollution and to check air pollution in Shimla wildlife sanctuary, the government of Himachal Pradesh has banned the movement of vehicles in the sanctuary area. The sanctuary also serves as the catchment area for sources supplying water in Shimla town. The forest department is mulling over operating battery-run vehicles.
