Black
snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus bieti), in the Tibetan Autonomous
Region of China which were 50 in number two decades back now have gone up in
figures. The total population of this endangered species currently is around
2,000 to 3,000 and is a significant achievement of conservation efforts.
