Host city of the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 13)

The host city of the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 13), the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP-MOP 8), and the second meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing (COP-MOP2) has been changed from Los Cabos, Mexico to Cancún, Mexico.

 

This change has been made by the Government of Mexico, in consultation with the Secretariat, taking into account the requirements for convening these meetings.

 

The dates of the meetings remain unchanged (4 to 17 December 2016), as previously communicated in notification 2015-003 of 8 January 2015.
