ELEPHANTS WREAK HAVOC- INDIA

Acres of standing paddy crops and several houses were damaged by a rampaging herd of 60-70 elephants in Dibrugargh District, Assam. To check elephant depredation in the area, three-strand electric power fence along with a 10-km long fence has been constructed but to no avail.
