The
residents of Rawalpindi, northern Pakistan are receiving contaminated drinking
water, as sewerage water is mixing with drinking water due to broken
underground supply lines. Because of the consumption of contaminated water many
residents in affected localities have been admitted to hospital due to dysentery. People are
forced to use contaminated water for cooking food and even drinking as for lack
of alternative.
