The integrated water management project under District Water
Development Project (DWDP) is changing the lives of villagers in Mandi
district, Himachal Pradesh. The project has been operating various income
generating activities to the villagers. Along with the irrigation facilities,
the local farmers are also given advice for buying quality seeds under the
project. Thus, they are shifting to cultivation of cash crops and diversifying
to floriculture.
