BREEDING RED-PANDA IN CAPTIVITY- NEPAL



Central Zoo in Kathmandu has taken responsibility of Red panda which was found to be in critical condition in Rammechap district, central Nepal. The panda in captivity was able to survive only because of the air conditioned room and good care by the zoo officials. The zoo has also decided to bring a separate panda couple for breeding and the cage worth NPR 3.5 million is expected to be ready within this month.
