Recent rhino census in Kaziranga National
Park has recorded 2329 rhinos, 49 more than the previous census in 2012.
Meanwhile, just a day after census poachers gunned down 2 rhinos at the park
and decamped with its horn making it the 19th kill of this year. In the other
news, seven people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in rhino
poaching from Sonitpur District, Assam.
