Several micro hydro projects with total production of 2500KW, in Gorkha
district, western Nepal have started to distribute electricity to the local
villagers which has changed the daily lifestyles of the people. For instance Aarughat
hydropower project (150 KW) has benefited 860 households while around 1,231
households have been benefited by other 16 hydropower project in several
villages in the district.
